Check the current town notice rather than relying on an old status

Open the Town of Stoughton Sanitary Sewer Overflow page and note the access time. The town says it posts public notices there and provides subscription directions.

For a property symptom, record the address, time, lowest affected opening, fixture use, sewage extent, weather, and safe isolation. A public notice may add context but does not diagnose the private line.

Ask the plumber and town which boundary each can assess, whether private use should stop, and what cleanup, inspection, or service-connection follow-up applies.
